Work Experience:

v  Practical experience in classical painting for the last 40 years from the age of 11 years and painted more than 575 thankas of various sizes including 12' x 8' Surya Mandala (thanka) by order and other 3 dimensions paintings in large stages (theaters).

 

v  Decorative wall paintings for studio construction for "Little Buddha",  in Kathmandu, the English Film based on the life of Lord Buddha, produced by the Italian Film Producer.

 

v  Wall Painting in Vasundhara Temple at Swayambhu Buddhist Monastry (also know as Monkey Temple)

 

v  Painting activities in residential houses before performing prestigious religious functions.

 

v  Tought Art classes in Bhutan at sechen monastery for one month in Dec 2001 and 2006-August.

 

National Recognition:

Recognized as the renowed Thanka Artist in the brief list of national level artist in the Intermediate Level text book – "Introduction to Nepal" of  the all Universities of Nepal from the last 16 years.

 

Awards Conferred:

v  First Prize in All Nepal Thanka Painting Competition organized by Royal Nepal Academy and Nepal Association of Fine Arts – December, 1981 and  December, 1983

 

v  First Prize in All Nepal Competitive Handicraft Exhibition organized by Department of Cottage and Village Industries, His Majesty's Government of Nepal – April, 1988

v  Joint Exhibition of thanka paintings at "The October Gallery" in Kathmandu in 1986.

v  Solo Thanka Exhibition in Denmark :

  • At Gallery Kongo, Copenhagen in March 1992 (for 2 weeks)
  • At Italian Culture Institute, Copenhagen in 26 March 1993 (for 1 month)
  • At KULTURHUSET TOLDKAMMERET, Helsinger, Denmark in October, 1994 (for 1 month)
  • At SKIVE KUNST MUSEUM, Havnevej, Skive in November, 1994 (for 1 week)
  • At Holstebro Museum, Denmark in November / December (for 1 month)
