I spent three months studying under Sir Sudarshan Suwal and the progress has been transformative. Sir is a rare master who balances technical precision with insights into Buddhist (art) iconography and philosophy.
Our lessons covered the entire traditional process - from hand-crushing mineral pigments to the delicate finishing work of a Thangka. I'm currently on my second painting and continuing my training through remote lessons, but I’m looking forward to returning to Kathmandu later this year to dive deeper into Paubha in person.
